CUSTOM CAT PORTRAIT - Oil painting

This is an original, made to order, one-of-a-kind oil painting of your cat, painted entirely by hand in my little home studio in Sydney, Australia.

Each portrait is individually painted using traditional oil painting techniques and professional fine art materials. Every brushstroke, colour and detail is part of the original artwork itself — not a digital print or reproduction.

My aim is to create a small, timeless portrait that captures the character and personality of your cat while preserving the warmth, texture and richness that makes an original oil painting so special.

🐈 ABOUT THE PORTRAIT

Your cat's portrait will be painted by hand from your reference photo, with careful attention to their features, expression, colouring and personality.

If you have a particular background colour in mind, you can let me know when ordering. Otherwise, I will choose a colour that I feel best complements your cat and the overall portrait.

* Original handmade oil painting
* Painted on a 4×4 inches (10.2 × 10.2 cm) canvas panel
* Signed front and back
* Includes Certificate of Authenticity

The painting can be purchased unframed or paired with a handmade solid Tasmanian Oak floating frame, made entirely by me in my Sydney home studio.
When framed, the frame is approximately 12.2 × 12.2 cm overall.

I cut, assemble, sand and finish each frame by hand from solid Natural Tasmanian Oak, creating a simple, timeless frame designed to complement the small original painting.

As wood is a natural material, variations in grain, colour and texture are part of its unique character. These natural variations make every frame beautifully unique.


🐈 HOW TO ORDER

1. Select your preferred option: unframed or framed.
2. Upload your reference photo options making sure they are clear, good quality pictures.
3. Let me know your preferred background colour (if any).
4. Place your order.

Clear, well-lit photos work best. If you have several photos and aren't sure which one would work best, feel free to send them all and I'll help you choose the most suitable reference.

If you have any specific requests regarding colours, details or the overall feel of the portrait, please let me know before I begin.


🐈 PROCESSING TIMES

Each portrait is painted individually and made to order.

Please allow approximately 5–7 business days for the painting process, followed by approximately 2 additional weeks of drying time* before the artwork can be prepared for shipping.
*The additional drying time is necessary due to the natural drying process of traditional oil paint.

During particularly busy periods, processing may take a little longer. I will always let you know if there is any significant change to the estimated timeframe.


🐈 PREVIEW & ADJUSTMENTS

Small adjustments, such as slight colour changes or minor details, are welcome. However, changes to the pose, composition or overall design are not possible once the painting is underway due to the nature of the oil painting process.

If you have any specific preferences for colours or small details, please let me know immediately after placing your order, before I begin painting. I will always do my best to ensure the final artwork reflects your reference photo and preferences.
